About Me

Christine Bickley

There is no doubt about it - I love working with people! I am proud of my education and qualifications - they have allowed me to explore facets of health and fitness that are challenging and rewarding for Coach and Client alike.

I have been in the fitness industry since 1992 when I first qualified as a fitness instructor with the London Central YMCA. I spent the first 8 years teaching classes such as step aerobics and body conditioning. I have always sought to increase my knowledge and spent time on workshops and seminars on a regular basis.

In 2000 I trained in Pilates at the Pilates Institute in London. However, I was aware that Pilates was not the whole story, so I was pleased to be introduced to the work of Paul Chek at about the same time. I am currently qualified in corrective exercise as a CHEK Practitioner level I, and as a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach (NLC) level III.

In November 2005 I attended Pilates Matwork level I with the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute), which addresses Pilates exercises from a clinical perspective.

I am able to draw upon my knowledge and experience from all my qualifications and provide my clients with everything from well-balanced Pilates classes using a variety of pieces of equipment such as Swiss balls, to highly technical, precision exercise programs to rehabilitate and correct postural imbalances.

My work as an NLC enables me to coach my clients towards feeling better, achieving greater health and vitality

As well as loving my work in the health and fitness industry I have a passion for sailing, windsurfing, skiing and horse riding (see gallery).
